about Marc Wandschneider
Born in the steppes of Inner Mongolia, Marc Wandschneider was sold to Horse
Traders at the tender age of two months, ending up being raised by Tibetan
Yak herders soon after.
Many years later, a German immigrant couple in Canada adopted him, and began the arduous task of teaching him skills that would be critical to his survival in the modern world, such as using a fork, operating the remote control, and learning how to locate the nearest espresso vendor.
After university in Canada, Marc went and worked for Microsoft in the 1990s for nearly six years, working as a programmer and ultimately a manager on various devloper tools. Since leaving, he has spent significant amounts of time traveling the world, learning languages, and working with various open source technologies, most recently PHP and MySQL.
Marc now lives in Beijing, China, where he spends his time mangling the poor Chinese language and engaging in various entrepreneurial activities.
